Yesterday, husband and I did the first live stream on Twitch, demonstrating how to do a nail loom suitable for hot pads and small twined mats.\u00a0 We worked out most of the bugs and stumbled up Learning Curve Mountain fairly well, and next week it’ll go easier (and hopefully the headphones and mouth mic will pick up).<\/span><\/h4>\n

I’ll be on there most Sunday mornings around ten-ish and other times once he’s shown me how to set it up, if I’m going to be sitting at a table doing something fairly static.\u00a0 It will solve the issue of how to interact more with others and not be so lonely at the shop, as well as teach and share my love of making things.\u00a0 I like what I’ve seen of the Twitch community so far . . . reminds me of the early days of Etsy before it became a conduit from China suppliers.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Upcoming Lesson Plans include sewing trash stationery and bookmarks, making and using a drop spindle, making a simple loom or two, boxes, all the things I make and do anyway, but now people can watch live and ask questions.\u00a0 And we’ll also be placing the recordings onto a you-tube channel, so people can re-watch them for years to come.<\/span><\/h4>\n
